Grand Marais to discuss need for more downtown bathrooms

Last week, the Chamber sent a letter to the Grand Marais City Council and mayor urging them to add public bathrooms to the downtown -- not biffies, but permanent, well appointed and well maintained bathrooms. Chamber dragon boat crew had a blast

The Chamber dragon boat crew, organized with great aplomb by Barb Heideman and clothed in beautiful shirts thanks to Sue Olson, ate up its "dragon dash" during the 2014 North Shore Dragon Boat Festival.

The Chamber boat went up against a team organized by the YMCA and easily came out on top in the good-natured competition.

Betsy's fish

Artist Betsy Bowen joined forces with Como Oil & Propane to create this beautiful fish painting on Como's large propane tank in downtown Grand Marais. Funding for the project came from Great Place Race, a joint effort of Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and the Cook County Chamber.
